Clever new visual identity for the Whitney Museum of American Art
in New York by the small and independent Amsterdam-based graphic design studio Experimental Jetset. The new logo works around the concept of the "responsive
W", combining it with the typeface Neue Hass Grotesk to create a logo
which can easily by applied to both marketing material and products. The
redesign is in preparation for The Whitney's move from is current
location on Madison Avenue to a new museum designed by Renzo Piano at
the start of the High Line. Via HUH Magazine.

Lido di Jesolo
I've never been to Jesolo Beach in Venice but I've seen and stayed in my share of obscure holiday appartements in my childhood. The real mission in this series Behind the Edge by Manhattan based photographer Luigi Bonaventura is to show each structure as its Platonic ideal: that is, as the architect imagined it, not as it all too often looks in real life and mixing color encourage your own imagination around the picture. Via Present and Correct.

Minimalism to its Maximum
The art by textile designer and artist Vibeke Rohland, living and working in the heart of Copenhagen, is rooted in tradition as well as modern contemporary art. It seeks the basic form of pattern, the geometric simplicity and minimalism to its maximum, and she has neutralized the content of symbols via the juxtaposition of the signs and their reduced form. Her work goes straight in to my simple graphic designer heart and fills it with total pleasure!

High Heels
This is not a fashion blog, but I just had to share these amazing shoes. Too much? I don't think so! For Russian designer Alexander Siradekiana, the beauty is in the details and in his first shoe collection ever the details may be quirky
and playful, but the overall look from his My Way collection is still very sophisticated. Via Trendland.

Quelle Quadra
This is such a simple and amazing idea – wauw! The table Quadra made by Milano based designer Luis Arrivilaga consist of a loop stand frame combined with a tabletop of
your choice. It is designed to build a universal table that offers the
possibility of infinite lenght. The
powdercoated steel frames come in different colors and can be used
indoors or outdoors. Unfortunately it is only a prototype yet and not
purchasable. Hopefully someone will see the potential in this great idea and welcome it in the world of great designs. Via Ignant.

Brass is the new Black
Is it just me or is brass everywhere these days? Anyway – I love these
fantastic brass constructions by Italian artist and architect Michele Reginaldi. The constructions fall into four different groups: morphologies around the circle,
morphologies of verticality, light structures and constructions for
architecture. They are made of brass and vary in size from Ø15-cm
to a height of 60 cm. Via Present and Correct.

It's time for some cool illustrations and gif animations by talented Charles Huettner – a 100% self taught Pennsylvania based artist, who makes animated videos and illustrations and post them on the net for the world to see or buy. Thanks man!

Curiously Ceramics
Curiously fascinating and strange ceramic sculptures by danish artist Per Ahlmann. His sculptures bring together incompatible elements and begin
narratives that remain fragments. These curious objects that we cannot
be finished with continually show new aspects of themselves. They live
on as remnants of dreams that we will have some day.
