The series "A not so still life" by Swedish artist Charlott Markus are made out of new and used pieces of paper. The work is inspired by tabula rasa theories that
have circulated down the centuries and the artist's own thoughts
regarding still life’s posing as portraits. The photographs are part of
the installation but also work as a separate series. In the installation
the photographs act as a narrative front and their backside as a dark,
one colored clean slate (tabula rasa). Charlott Markus lives and works in Amsterdam.
